Service Description

We have 2 licensed piercers available to provide a quick and safe piercing experience. We recommend this service for anyone who may be nervous about getting their ears pierced, particularly ages 1-6. At Curious Curls Kids, we provide a clean, calm, and kid-friendly environment for your child's (or your) earlobe piercing. Our Owner is a mom of 3 and is licensed in piercing! She takes every precaution to ensure a safe and comfortable experience. Our other piercer, Kim, is a bilingual mother of two little toddler girls! We use an FDA approved, medical piercing device called STUDEX System 75. It is not a piercing gun, nor a needle, and is often used in medical offices. It comes with fully sealed cartridges and is contained inside a sterile package. The cartridge is disposable and cannot be reused, ensuring a hygienic experience for you and your child. Pricing varies depending on the earrings you select. We pierce starting at 2 months old, all the way up to adults. We can do 2nd piercings starting at 10 years old. Please feel free to message us with any questions! Aftercare: Please be prepared to follow 6 weeks of after-care, which includes washing your hands, spraying the front and back of the piercing with the aftercare spray we provide you, and gently rotating the earrings twice a day, morning and night. After 6 weeks, you are welcome to change the earrings out to a new, clean pair. You can also schedule a 6-week appointment with us so that we can clean your child's ears and change them out for you. We have lots of earrings to choose from at our salon, including earrings with screw-on backs, so you don't have to worry as much about your child losing an earring. We use butterfly backs because they are the most hygienic option for the healing period. We recommend switching to earrings with screw-on backs after the initial healing period! If you are interested in numbing cream, ask your doctor if you can apply Lidocaine 5% on the front and back of the earlobes 30 minutes before your appointment. We also offer numbing cream at the salon. Please come 10 minutes early if you would like to have numbing cream applied.
