Hello my name is April. I grew up here in Salem and have been a hair stylist for 17 years. I’m a mom of three wonderful kids full of quirks, energy and never ending haircuts! I have a 13 year old, 9 year old and 7 month old. Two boys and a baby girl. We love the outdoors and are always looking for a new fishing or swimming spot! I hope to bring fun to each hair service I provide. Each kid is different so I strive to be able to make a connection with your child to ensure they are comfortable and I understand their level of need during the service. We can laugh, talk, play on the tablet, or keep those hands and eyes busy with the many fidgets we have! I look forward to meeting you and your family!

With over 20 years of experience behind the chair, Melissa brings both skill and heart to every haircut. She has a special love for working with kids, making every appointment fun, comfortable, and stress-free. Whether it’s a first haircut or a big style change, she knows how to help children feel at ease and leave with a smile. Outside of the salon, Melissa is a proud mom to two daughters and three stepsons, which has only deepened her passion for working with families. She understands the importance of patience, care, and creating positive experiences for children of all ages. Her favorite part of being a stylist is watching confidence shine through when clients—big or small—see their finished look.

Hello my name is Kimberly! I have been doing nails for 4 years. I love to get creative when doing nail art. Whether it’s classy and simple or fun and edgy, I am your girl! I have two bundles of joy, Robyn (2yrs) and Raven (9mo) that keep me going on my days off. We love to explore new parks, go to the library or enjoy a nice walk. You can find me at the reception desk, assisting stylists, doing earlobe piercings and nail services! I am excited to be a part of this team and love to meet new faces!

Hi! I'm Karissa and I am the Owner and Founder of Curious Curls Kids Salon.
I grew up in Oregon and I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in International Studies and Business from the University of Oregon!

Curious Curls is inspired by my own curious and curly-haired children,
Cassius (10), Eden (5) and Liya (2)! I am in love with this business and creating fun and memorable experiences for children and their families. We are so grateful for each and every family who visits our salon.
You can find me in the salon all day Saturday and Sunday cleaning, doing braids, hair tinsel, ear piercing and hosting birthday parties! During the week, I chase after my little ones and run all of the behind-the-scenes salon operations from home!
